Yesterday’s strikes will have had as much to do with Israeli domestic policy as military deterrence. The country goes to the polls on February 10. Tzipi Livni, the foreign minister and the Kadima party candidate for prime minister, increasingly faced accusations of being soft on defence.
As is the case in America, the quickest way for an Israeli politician to win votes is to kill Muslims - except in Gaza, as is the case in most of the Arab World, many Gazans are Christians. But, that don't matter to America who is basically telling Israel to kill them all and let God sort them out...

Merry Christmas from Gaza
Monsignor Musallam called the Christians of the world to raise their voice in the face of the injustice against the Palestinian people, especially the people who live in the Gaza Strip. Nobody deserves to be called a human if he keeps silence before what is going on in Gaza and does not raise his voice saying “yes to life and no to death” in favor of the people in Gaza, said Monsignor Musallam. He pointed out that he would be very pleased if this mass was attended by a small number of monks and other people, and it was allowed to everybody to go to the birthplace of Jesus Christ, to pray in the city of Bethlehem.

Gaza Christians annul Xmas celebrations to protest blockade
Palestinian Christians living in the Hamas-ruled Gaza will not celebrate Christmas this year and will not perform the midnight Christmas mass, Gaza Latin Church pastor Manuel Musalam said Wednesday.
Of course, the Christians in America are so filled with love for Israel in anticipation of the return of Christ, they completely neglect and totally disregard the suffering the Israelis perpetrate on their brethen in Palestine in general, but in Gaza in particular - strange Christian love and Christ-like behavior...

Speaking recently before hundreds of worshipers at Placerita Baptist Church in Newhall, guest preacher Chris Mueller affirmed the view that loving male headship and gracious wifely submission are God's plan for spouses.

Christians protest attacks by Hindus in India
“We are quite disappointed with both the federal government and state governments as violence against Christians has spread to several states in the past month,’’ said Dominic Emmanuel, a spokesman for the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India. The clashes between Hindus and Christians started in the Kandhamal district of Orissa state on Aug 24 following the killing of a Hindu religious leader. At the time, police blamed Maoist rebels active in the area, but right-wing Hindu groups blamed local Christians and set fire to a Christian orphanage.

Anti-Christian attacks flare in India
CHURCH VANDALIZED: In Karnataka last week, Christian protesters also clashed with police. SK MohanWhile Hindu nationalists claim that the unrest is caused by missionaries forcing conversions on Hindus, Christians – and most secular observers – say the violence is politically motivated, designed to win votes for the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party.

Israel is Deporting Jerusalem Christians
"Hundreds of Jerusalem Christians are loosing residency rights in their City due to policies of the Israeli Ministry of Interior. The policy that aims to reduce the number of non-Jews in the City takes its toll on families and individuals who hold residency permits at foreign countries. No matter how long they travel abroad, no matter if they were born in Jerusalem before or after Israel occupied East Jerusalem, they are considered visitors in their own city."

U.S. Military’s Middle East Crusade for Christ
“They are proselytizing not on behalf of the Constitution of the United States . . . but rather on behalf of some sort of fanatical view of end times. And they are using our army to affect that.”

"A group of religious fanatics in a Middle Eastern country burning several hundred copies of the New Testament under government orders immediately following George Bush’s birthday bash in Israel should have been headline news for days in America."

"[Pope] Benedict proposed the encounter as part of his official response to an open letter sent to him and other Christian leaders in October by 138 Muslim scholars from around the world. The letter urged Christians and Muslims to develop their common ground of belief in one God."

Hindus burn more churches in India
"The trouble between the communities was reportedly sparked after Hindu right-wing organisations objected to plans by local Christian groups to celebrate Christmas in a big way. About 100,000 of Khandamal’s 650,000 populations are Christians while most of the rest are Hindus."
I wonder how "big" a Christmas celebration the Christians wanted to hold?

Christians, Hindus clash again in India
A bus set on fire by protestors goes up in flames at Baliguda in Phulbani district in Orissa state, India, Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007. Hundreds of armed police patrolled parts of eastern India on Thursday, enforcing a curfew that left the region tense but quiet after two days of attacks on Christians and churches by Hindu extremists. (AP Photo) "Hindu extremists burned down the house of a prominent Christian politician in eastern India Thursday, officials said, as violence by gangs from both sides continued despite a curfew imposed after two days of attacks against Christians by Hindu hard-liners."
Based on the article, it sounds like the "extremist" Hindus just woke up one morning and decided to attack the Christians for no reason...
