It's time to choose right over wrong

While President Barack Obama was busy closing down our military prison in Guantanamo and shuttering the Central Intelligence Agency's secret Gulag around the world, Republicans on Capitol Hill were stalling a vote on Obama’s choice for attorney general, apparently in hopes of negotiating a plea bargain on war crimes.

Robert Fisk: So far, Obama's missed the point on Gaza...

... for the people of the Middle East, the absence of the word "Gaza" – indeed, the word "Israel" as well – was the dark shadow over Obama's inaugural address. Didn't he care? Was he frightened? Did Obama's young speech-writer not realise that talking about black rights – why a black man's father might not have been served in a restaurant 60 years ago – would concentrate Arab minds on the fate of a people who gained the vote only three years ago but were then punished because they voted for the wrong people? It wasn't a question of the elephant in the china shop. It was the sheer amount of corpses heaped up on the floor of the china shop.

Obama reaches out to Muslims

“This Tuesday, we can reaffirm our own veneration and love for our country and our democracy,” he said yesterday in a radio address. “We can once again provide an example to the world.” His inauguration presents a “unique opportunity to reboot America’s image in the world and also in the Muslim world in particular”, he said in an interview.

Considering the number of Zionists Obama has named to his administration, I don't expect the good President Elect's reach to extend very far...

Barack Obama’s first mistake - His silence on Gaza

The German newspaper, Sueddeutsche Zeitung no less, scorned Obama for his stance, stating that "Gaza is burning, and Israel's bombs are causing daily casualties, but the world can only expect change at twelve noon sharp on January 20." And, all the way in the Philippines, Randy David writes thus: "By any measure, this is not a war but a slaughter, not a retaliatory response but an outrageous massacre. The Jewish nation's transformation from colossal victim to callous aggressor is complete... As Israelis and Palestinians stared menacingly at each other on Christmas Day, the rest of us stared indifferently, forgetting that, in the last analysis, we are all Gazans."

Desperately Seeking Obama

Palestinian children stand near the remains of an Israeli missile that landed in a building in Rafah refugee camp, southern Gaza Strip, Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009

"That Obama chooses to remain silent" on Israeli savaging of Gaza "is nothing short of cowardice." Even before he is sworn into office, Obama's stature is diminished; he has been "pushed into a corner" by the Israelis. What has been lost may not be regained. "The hope that a Black man will stand up to the racial calculations that turn the ‘native' into a ‘thing', as Frantz Fanon put it, is palpable among many Muslims." There is "no greater cause for social justice than that of the Palestinian people," but "Obama is missing in action in this first challenge to his Presidency."

Why Do So Few Speak Up for Gaza?

The major news outlets meekly accepted Israel’s banning of journalists from entering Gaza as an excuse for downplaying collateral civilian casualties, our president-elect, Barack Obama, has had little to say about an invasion that will much complicate his future Mideast peace efforts, and most commentators easily rationalize Israel’s many-more-eyes-for-an-eye killings.

Obama fiddles while Gaza burns

Gaza is a uniquely oppressed conflict zone. With its borders and ports closed, and the IDF on the march, civilians do not have the option to flee to refugee camps, and Gaza is on the brink of humanitarian collapse. It is not time to stress our "special relationship" with a state that violates basic human rights. An all-out war in Gaza, where civilians have nowhere to flee, fits the definition of terrorism.

How to win Islam over

Recently aides have said he may give a speech from a Muslim capital in his first 100 days. His hope, he has said, is to "make clear that we are not at war with Islam," to describe to Muslims "what our values and our interests are" and to "insist that they need to help us to defeat the terrorist threats that are there." This idea of trying to reconcile Islam and the West is well-intentioned, of course. But the premise is wrong.

Barack Obama links Israel peace plan to 1967 borders deal

On a visit to the Middle East last July, the president-elect said privately it would be “crazy” for Israel to refuse a deal that could “give them peace with the Muslim world”, according to a senior Obama adviser.

Report: Obama views 'have serious implications for Israel'

The report said Israel could no longer count on Republicans in Congress to temper Obama's policies in the Middle East. Instead, Obama would be supported by a Democratic-controlled Congress and a new Jewish lobby, "J Street," that would seek to undermine the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Well, one can only hope...

I believe that everybody is a change-maker, and nobody has the right to say, "I can't do anything" or stay neutral at a time when injustice is committed every day. I believe, like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed, that travel breaks cultural stereotypes, and if people have the opportunity to meet with each other as human beings, they will have no reason to go to war against each other. I believe in change, exactly like you, and hope that change will come with all the efforts we are doing. And because of this, I was rewarded as the first Ashoka Fellow-Social Entrepreneur in Palestine.

Now, Obama really does have terrorist connections

At last, some real dirt on Barak Obama!

He has terrorist connections!

No, I don’t mean the endlessly recycled, tenuous connection with Bill Ayers, an elderly academic with a colorful past. Nor do I have in mind Barak’s links with the Rev Wright, one of the more honest preachers in America today.

Farrakhan says Obama draws a 'oneness of spirit'

Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam, congratulates President-elect Barack Obama during a sermon at the Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008.

"President-elect Obama has energized all segments of the depressed, downtrodden, rejected and despised," he said in a 90-minute speech at Mosque Maryam on the city's South Side. "Now it is up to us to take the new energy that he has given us ... and channel that energy into making ourselves better."

Will the World Change Now?

The American people have now taken a stand against the policy eight years of the Bush Administration has come to represent. That is: the neo-colonial wars and the economic crisis. This is what history will remember. Peoples and governments worldwide now hope their expectations will come to be fulfilled.

Many run the risk of being disappointed, however....

Who Owns Obama?

“Obviously my son will influence the president to be pro-Israel. Why wouldn’t he be? What is he, an Arab? He’s not going to clean the floors of the White House.” View Article Here.

OBAMA HAS SO MANY MASTERS that he’ll be tap dancing 24 hours a day. His faithful cultists, kool-aid drinkers, entitlement junkies, and clueless supporters will be first to be stabbed…and last to realize it.

Obama, McCain campaigns' computers hacked for policy data

Computers at the headquarters of the Barack Obama and John McCain campaigns were hacked during the campaign by a foreign entity looking for future policy information..... U.S. authorities, according to one of the sources, believe they know who the foreign entity responsible for the hacking is, but refused to identify it in any way, including what country.

Okay, they know the foreign entity responsible but won't say. Well, if it were Russia, China, or God forbid Iran it would be all over the news by now. So, that leaves one other "sensitive" possible culprit - anyone care to hazard a quess who that might be?

Obama faced with security problem at outset of transition process

Wayne Madsen Report — November 6, 2008

WMR has learned from informed U.S. intelligence sources that prospective Barack Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has an active FBI counter-intelligence file maintained on him. Emanuel's rise to the Chief of Staff position may pose a significant security problem for President-elect Obama if the FBI insists on conducting the full background security investigation normally required for senior White House officials.

Questions about Emanuel's links to the Israeli intelligence service, the Mossad, were allegedly so great that President Bill Clinton was forced to dismiss Emanuel from the White House staff in 1998. One of the FBI agents who discovered Emanuel's dealings with Israeli intelligence was, according to our sources, the late FBI counter-terrorism Assistant Director John O'Neill. O'Neill retired after being set up in a smear operation involving a temporarily stolen brief case in 2001. O'Neill and another FBI agent who still works for the bureau and shall remain nameless at this point to protect him and his career discovered that Emanuel was heavily involved in the decision to place intern Monica Lewinsky close to President Clinton. O'Neill accepted the top security position for Kroll Associates at the World Trade Center. O'Neill was killed in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. WMR has also reported that O'Neill was a close friend of slain retired Houston CIA station chief Roland V. "Tony" Carnaby, who was similarly investigating Israeli intelligence operations in the Houston area when Houston police shot and killed him last April.

Emanuel reportedly had knowledge of Israeli intelligence penetration of White House communications systems and Lewinsky, in sworn testimony before the Office of Independent Counsel, stated: "He [Clinton] suspected that a foreign embassy [it is now known that embassy was that of Israel] was tapping his telephones, and he proposed cover stories." Lewinsky continued, "If ever questioned, she should say that the two of them were just friends. If anyone ever asked about their phone sex, she should say that they knew their calls were being monitored all along, and the phone sex was just a put on."

WMR has learned from U.S. intelligence sources that Emanuel was discovered to be part of a political intelligence and blackmail operation directed against Clinton by Israel's Likud Party and Binyamin Netanyahu to sink Clinton's proposed Middle East peace deal. We have also learned that the FBI investigation of Emanuel is part of a file code-named the "Mega file." "Mega" is a reference to a top-level Mossad agent in the Reagan administration who was said to have run a number of Israeli agents, including U.S. Navy spy Jonathan Pollard."

Israeli FM: US dialogue with Iran could be problem

Israel's foreign minister said Thursday that President-elect Barack Obama shouldn't talk to Iran just yet, warning that such dialogue could project "weakness" — a first sign of disagreement with the incoming American administration.

And, Israel wastes no time in signaling to Rahm Emanuel his first task - to sabotage talks with Iran. Expect President Elect Obama to change his position regrading talks with Ahmadinejab.
