Forum sells 'Obama Waffles' with racial stereotype

A box of Obama Waffles is seen in Washington, Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. A vendor at a conservative political forum was selling boxes of waffle mix depicting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as a racial stereotype on its front and wearing Arab-like headdress on its top flap. The product was meant as political satire, said Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, two writers from Franklin, Tenn., who created the mix and sold it for $10 a box at the Values Voter Summit sponsored by the lobbying arm of the Family Research Council. Insurers face Ike claims of up to $25bn

A man walks amid debris from Hurricane Ike that was cleared from the road in Galveston, Texas September 13, 2008. Hurricane Ike slammed the Texas and Lousiana coast on Saturday with ferocious winds and a wall of water that flooded hundreds of miles, cut power to millions and caused billions of dollars in damage. Insurers were bracing themselves on Friday for the most severe hurricane losses since Katrina in 2005, as Ike bore down on the US. Deloitte said Ike could inflict claims of up to $25bn (€18bn, £14bn) on insurers and reinsurers, depending on its strength and where it made landfall. At $25bn it would be the biggest insured loss from a hurricane since Katrina generated about $40bn of claims.

N.Y. football teams forced to end talks with company with Nazi ties

Allianz sought to defuse the criticism by pointing to the millions of dollars in restitution payments it has made to Holocaust survivors. The company says it has sought to redress the crimes it committed during the rule of the Third Reich, and the owners of the Jets and Giants reportedly vetted the firm and came away satisfied with its sincerity in making amends.

Give it up Allianz - it doesn't matter. No matter what you do, it will never be enough for these people. Those who would perpetrate murder and ethnic cleansing of more than 1.4 million Palestinian souls in Gaza would also be so bold as to raise such an outcry against a company that nearly 70 years ago had ties to the Nazis - only "God's choosen people" could be so disgustingly arrogant...

"So, what do you think will happen now?" The question was posed by the taller of two young Israelis, my sole companions in this section of Liberty State Park on the Jersey City side of the Hudson River, the morning of September 11, 2001. "Everything has changed," I replied, unaware that the same phrase was simultaneously forming on the lips of millions around the globe. Israeli women fear writing on the wall

Scrawled across a wall on a busy main street is the statement in Hebrew: “Fashion equals promiscuity”. For women in some Israeli communities, such public sentiments are not simply idle graffiti – they are a warning, and one that is increasingly backed by threats of physical violence...
Reports of women being attacked on the street or in their homes have been steadily rising in the local media. In one widely publicised incident over the summer, a 14-year-old girl from Upper Beitar, a large ultra-Orthodox settlement in the West Bank south of Jerusalem, had acid poured on her face and body in what is believed to have been the work of a modesty patrol. The girl told a paramedic treating her that she had been repeatedly threatened before the attack. According to local media, the girl was wearing loose-fitting trousers at the time of the attack.

9/11/1 To 9/11/8 - Seven Year Tribulation

The vast majority of Americans and educated people around the world no longer believe the official U.S. Government conspiracy theory of what happened on 9/11. That this same magician was so powerful that he secured thousands of followers for his global terror organization, whose name means "little toilet" in Arabic slang; and is still alive today, having evaded being captured by the strongest nation on earth for seven years.

When actually examined, however, the proffered evidence turns out to be remarkably weak. I will illustrate this point by means of 16 questions.
