No reprieve from settler violence in sight

The Israeli government, which has encouraged the building of settlements in the West Bank in violation of international law since it occupied the territory in 1967, stated on Monday that it will act to remove settlement outposts. These are structures built in violation of international agreements, without official permission and against Israeli law but with tacit support from the Israeli authorities. In 2005, an Israeli government investigation found that state authorities had colluded with the settlement movement to establish over 100 outposts in the West Bank, donating US$17 million to such projects between 2000 and 2004.

No Women Allowed at major Jewish festival

Men to the left, women to the right. Meah Shearim (Photo: Haim Zach)

The last two years have also seen Meah Shearim's streets divided into men and women's galleries for the sake of chastity; but this year's festivities have been clouded by a demand made by the extreme groups within the neighborhood's community, such as the Sicarii, which demand women be kept out of the festival altogether.

Notice the link to the article "
Saudi women must cover one eye." This "fatwa" which was completely ignored and not mentioned in any Arab, Muslim, or Middle Eastern media with the exception of Israel, is frankly, a fabrication. Placing the link next to this particular article is the Zionists transparent and unsuccessful effort draw the reader's attention away from Jewish "extremists" and place the focus on Islamic "extremists."

'Yom Kippur riot' in Israeli city - Jewish youth attack Arab man

"...for years, young Jews have gathered at city entrances on Yom Kippur and stoned passing Arab cars, endangering the lives of the passengers."

Tensions are simmering in Acre on Thursday after a group of Jewish youths allegedly assaulted an Arab man who drove into the eastern part of the city on the Jewish high holiday of Yom Kippur. The incident touched off large-scale rioting between Jews and Arabs, resulting in extensive damage of dozens of cars and shops.

One of the men is a member of Baltimore Hebrew Congregation in the 5500 block of Slade Ave,. where the word Nazi and a swastika were spray-painted on signs, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman. Signs at Beth Tfiloh Community School in the 3300 block of Old Court Road were similarly defaced.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews required to use kosher cellphones

One of the defining features of kosher mobiles is a rabbinical stamp

The kosher cellphone looks like an ordinary cellphone, can make and receive calls, and may have a calculator and alarm clock. But it cannot send or receive text messages, browse the internet or take photos - all activities that could potentially involve behaviour considered "immodest" among Haredis.

Livni: Time running out on Israel-Palestinian deal

Tzipi Livni, Israeli Foreign Minister and head of the ruling Kadima party, attends the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008. Israeli prime Minister Ehud Olmert has resigned in a corruption scandal but remains caretaker prime minister until his successor as head of the ruling Kadima party, Tzipi Livni, forms a coalition. (AP Photo/Ronen Zvulun, Pool)

"An understanding of what is under way in the region shows that time is not working in the favor" of Israel and regional moderates, she said. She was referring to the growing strength of
Islamic Hamas militants, who overran the Gaza Strip last year and are challenging moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.

Notice how the article suggests that Livni is referring to Hamas when she could very well be referring to the "growing strength" of the Israeli settlers. These Jewish terrorists have been murdering Palestinians, battling their own IDF forces, and even attacking the few Rabbis symphatic to the just Palestinian cause...

Jewish "modesty patrols" terrorize unchaste women - Rabbis won't condemn them

An ultra-Orthodox woman walks past a shop selling long-sleeve shirts and ankle-length skirts which women are required to wear according to Jewish law, in a religious neighborhood in Jerusalem, Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. In Israel's ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, where the rule of law takes a back seat to the rule of God, religious zealots are on a crusade to stamp out unchaste behavior. They hurl stones at women for 'sins' as trivial as wearing a red blouse, and attack stores that sell devices that can access the Internet. In recent weeks, modesty enforcers have been accused of breaking into the apartment of a Jerusalem woman and beating her because they suspected she consorted with men. They also torched a store that sells MP4 players, fearing devout Jews would use them to download pornography. (AP Photo/Sebastian Scheiner)

Israeli settlers slay Palestinian shepherd

Armed Jewish settlers are escorted by the Israeli army in the West Bank city of Hebron, July 2007. (Mamoun Wazwaz/MaanImages)

On Saturday, 27 September 2008, a Palestinian teenager from Aqra village southeast of Nablus City was shot dead by Israeli settlers. The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) utterly condemns this heinous crime, and reiterates that the neglect of complaints submitted by Palestinian civilians against Israeli settlers, plus the protection provided by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) to the settlers, have encouraged the settlers to continue launching attacks against unarmed Palestinian civilians.

Of course, Israel's "investigation" into the murder disputes eye witness reports - their report claims the Shepherd's death was an "accident" caused by an unexploded shell."

Israeli settlers threaten to kill British film crew, curse Jesus

This is a video that ALL Christians everywhere, and especially American Christian Zionists, should see. The video shows an Israeli settler threatening a British film crew and cursing Jesus ("You and you're fucking Jesus can kiss my ass... We killed Jesus and we're proud of it"). The JEWISH TERRORIST goes on to threaten to kill Palestinians on whose land the settlers are trespassing.

Jewish Morality Squads

In the neighborhoods dominated by the Haredim, streets are sealed off for the Jewish day of rest and satellite dishes are considered a sign of heresy. The ultra-Orthodox Jews have also led violent protests against swimming pools, cinemas and other establishments they consider immoral. Police have recently detained a man accused of torching a store for selling what some residents considered "immoral" clothing.

Failing to segregate the sexes is also unacceptable according to the Haredi rules. They operate scores of gender-segregated bus routes whose buses move the ultra-Orthodox between Jerusalem neighborhoods. In 2006, a 50-year-old American tourist on holiday was attacked because she refused to go to the back of a bus along with other women.

Well, well..., Now, what were they saying about the Saudi religious police??

Israeli women fear writing on the wall

A man walks by graffiti that equates fashion with promiscuity on the walls of the Jewish ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv. Ilan Mizrahi / The National

Scrawled across a wall on a busy main street is the statement in Hebrew: “Fashion equals promiscuity”. For women in some Israeli communities, such public sentiments are not simply idle graffiti – they are a warning, and one that is increasingly backed by threats of physical violence...
Reports of women being attacked on the street or in their homes have been steadily rising in the local media. In one widely publicised incident over the summer, a 14-year-old girl from Upper Beitar, a large ultra-Orthodox settlement in the West Bank south of Jerusalem, had acid poured on her face and body in what is believed to have been the work of a modesty patrol. The girl told a paramedic treating her that she had been repeatedly threatened before the attack. According to local media, the girl was wearing loose-fitting trousers at the time of the attack.
What? You mean there are religious extremists in Israel?? America's #1 friend and "only democracy" in the Middle East??? Noooo - say it ain't so! And, why is it that we hear almost on a daily basis all about Saudi Arabia's "Religious Police" but not a word about Israel's "Modesty Patrols?"

Extremist Jewish settlers threaten secession from Israel

"Extremist Jewish settlers from West Bank settlements, who are opposed to a political settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, threatened to break away from Israel and set up their own Jewish state."
