Israel bans Arab parties from running in upcoming elections

Israel on Monday banned Arab political parties from running in next month's parliamentary elections, drawing accusations of racism by an Arab lawmaker who said he would challenge the decision in the country's Supreme Court.

Not that the Zionists are racists or anything like that...

Separate Is Never Equal: Stories of Apartheid from South Africa to Palestine, Fall 2008 National Tour

This national speaking tour will bring internationally recognized human rights advocates Rev. Eddie Makue and Diana Buttu to 11 U.S. cities between November 10th and 23rd, 2008.

Faith communities, the African-American community, and students will be the heart of this tour, as we work to educate Americans about the similarities between life under South Africa's apartheid regime and life for Israelis and Palestinians living under the Israeli government's ethnic separation policies.

Boycott "Jim Crow" Israel

To call attention to Israel's apartheid policies is to ask for immediate labeling as an "anti-Semite." Just ask former president Jimmy Carter. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performer Abdur-Rahim Jackson was separated from the troupe and made to dance for Israeli airport security - twice - to prove he wasn't a danger to the Jewish State, based on his name. "Israel's dismal human rights record has created numerous calls for economic boycotts of that nation," and cultural boycotts, as well. "The Israelis at the airport acted like Jim Crow segregationists of old, never forsaking an opportunity to publicly humiliate black people." Israel acts like the U.S. "did in its own apartheid era."

Yitzhar settlers' West Bank rampage caught on camera

"The phenomenon of [settlers] taking the law into their own hands and lashing out with violence and brutality is unforgivable, and will be dealt with by the law enforcement authorities," Olmert said.

Wink, wink, nod, nod...

IDF troops admit to taking bribes from Palestinians at checkpoints

"Two IDF soldiers from the Kfir Brigade were arrested last week following suspicions they had accepted bribes from Palestinians seeking to pass through West Bank roadblocks, Ynet has learned."

Notice the spin of the article - they make is sound like a military discipline problem when the issue really relates to criminal behavior and respect for human rights.

My Trip to the West Bank

"Do you see a future for us out there?"

"The driver, an immigrant from Morocco who had served as a tank crewman in the Six-Day War, let me in on his peace plan: "Kill them all! Men, women, and children: all of them, like you did in Hiroshima."

U.S. Consulate employee dies of heart attack at Israeli checkpoint

"Mohammed Mousa, 63, who has worked for forty years at the US Consulate in Jerusalem and is an American citizen, died of a heart attack when Israeli soldiers refused to allow him to pass through the checkpoint to work this week."

Gaza's last gasp

Palestinians in Gaza gather in front of the Rafah border crossing at the border with Egypt, 22 January 2008. (Wissam Nassar/MaanImages)

"John Dugard, UN special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories said that "The killing of some 40 Palestinians in Gaza in the past week, the targeting of a government office near a wedding party venue with what must have been foreseen loss of life and injury to many civilians, and the closure of all crossings into Gaza raise very serious questions about Israel's respect for international law and its commitment to the peace process.""

The Strangulation of the Palestinians in Gaza

"The failure on the part of Israel to grasp that this kind of brutal force is deeply counterproductive is perhaps understandable given the demonization of Arabs, and especially Palestinians, in Israeli society. The failure of Washington to intervene -- especially after President Bush's hollow words about peace days before the new fighting began -- is baffling. "

That's what happens when a "Judeo-Christian" nation becomes more Judeo than Christian...

Bush calls for end of "occupation" of Arab lands

"President Bush called for a halt to Israel's military occupation of land the Palestinians claim for a state and an end to the terrorist threat over the Jewish homeland, spelling out the U.S. bottom line Thursday for ending the long and bloody Mideast conflict."

This is a perfect example of the bias that is so pervasive in US policy regarding Israel and Palestine. Notice that while Bush "finally" referred to the Israeli "occupation" as an "occupation" he continues to refer to Palestinian resistance as "terrorism." Is he insane? A rhetorical question ~ of course Bush is insane.

Bush is actually suggesting the Palestinians sit idly by while Israel continue to murder innocent men, women, and children with American F-18 fighter jets, helicopter gunships, and tanks; destroy their homes and farms; and, confiscate their land by building "Israeli only" super-highways and settlements.

If the "Americans" had not resisted, but instead offered to "peacefully co-exist" with their English neighbors when the "Red Coats" arrived, the US would still be an English colony. Yet, George Washington and his fellow "patriots" are consider American heros.

Questions on Iran as Bush heads to Mideast

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks during a press conference after handing the annual budget bill to the parliament in Tehran on Monday.

"President Bush intends to use his first extended tour of the Middle East to rally support for international pressure against Iran, even as a recent U.S. intelligence report playing down Tehran's nuclear ambitions has left Israeli and Arab leaders rethinking their own approach toward Iran and questioning Washington's resolve, according to senior U.S. officials, diplomats and regional experts."

I'm sure the Palestinians will be pleased to hear Bush is in the region to pressure Iran. I'm sure they thought Bush was coming to pressure Israel to halt the wholesale slaughter of their defenseless and innocent men, women and children, stop the destruction of their homes and farms, force the removal of Israeli settlements and checkpoints, and stop the confiscation of their land.

Israel refuses to release report on settlements

"The report, whose preparation was kept secret, revealed that extensive building was carried out without permits on dozens of veteran settlements - not just outposts - often on privately owned Palestinian land. Spiegel's data came from the Civil Administration and other government agencies, as well as from photographic sorties carried out by civilian aircraft leased by the military establishment."

The Spiegel report would show Israeli's true intention ~ to steal Palestinian land and eventually "wipe Palestine off the map."

Just going to work, Palestinians and Israelis travel different roads

Palestinians board buses for the long, checkpoint-ridden commute to work.

"In the pre-dawn chill, Darwish sets his Muslim prayer rug on the floor facing Mecca. In the soft morning light, Steinmetz throws on his prayer shawl and turns toward Jerusalem. Then the lives of these West Bank neighbors diverge."

Sure does look and sound a lot like apartheid to me ~ you know what they say, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be a duck...

Olmert: Israel fails to halt settlements

"Israel has failed to uphold its promise to halt building in settlements, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in an unprecedented acknowledgement Friday ahead of President Bush's visit to prod Israel and the Palestinians toward a final accord."

Olmert merely states the obvious...

Broad Israeli Offensive Kills 11 in Gaza

"The Israeli army stepped up a broad offensive in the Gaza Strip starting Thursday and killed at least 11 Palestinians in a 24-hour period after militants fired a rocket that struck deep into Israel. {That fell into an open field that caused to injuries or damage like most Palestinian rockets do}."

Israeli Forces Kill 9 in Gaza

Palestinian families fled their homes in a village near Khan Yunis on Thursday during an Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip involving troops and tanks backed by helicopter gunships.

"Israeli forces operating in Gaza killed at least nine Palestinians on Thursday and blew up the houses of some known militant commanders, as the Palestinians fired a Katyusha rocket from Gaza that landed in northern Ashkelon, {that landed in a open field causing no injuries or damage} a city of 120,000 people."

And, the slaughter of innocence by the ZioNazis continue as the world stands by in silence. Again, God hears the crys and prayers of the innocent victims and HE is JUST.

IDF kills Islamic Jihad commander, his mother and sister

"Sources in Gaza report IDF fires shell at house of al-Quds Brigades commander near Khan Younis, killing him along with his mother, sister and another family member. Palestinian sources say 16 people wounded in strike, and some are in critical condition."

And, the world stands by in silence as "God's Chosen People" continue to murder innocent women and children. I remind all who will listen ~ God is a JUST God and he is listening to the prayers of the innocent victims.

Emulating the Nazis

Palestinian mourners carry the body of Khalda Hamadan, the pilgrim murdered at Beit Hanoun crossing

"Many people in the West don’t really understand what makes soldiers open fire on innocent and helpless civilians passing through a border-crossing. After all, such a cold-blooded murder defies all logic and flies in the face of basic human nature. This is why many westerners, long-time consumers of Zionist propaganda, would more or less accept Israeli accounts of such murderous “incidents” because they can’t imagine that, of all people, Israeli Jews, the former victims of Nazism, could stoop to the level of thugs and common criminals."

An Unholy Land Grab: The Story of a Palestinian Farm and Settlers

"They have now occupied strategically chosen areas through out the West Bank. Keddumim boasts of its own position on its website, saying its settlers have seized the tactical high ground overlooking routes from the Jordan towards Tel Aviv. In October this year the UN reported that over 38% of the West Bank is now occupied by Israeli settlements and by Israeli military areas. Since the West Bank and Gaza Strip only amount to 22% of the historical land of Palestine - it means that, in the current Two State negotiations, the Palestinians are expected to settle for just 13.2% of the land, despite having a population equivalent to Israel’s, or greater."

The Great Divide: Israel's forbidden road

"It runs straight through the heart of the occupied West Bank, but Palestinians are not permitted even to set foot on the asphalt their ancestors laid."
