Ordinary Palestinians Ruined By Gaza Siege, Hamas Not So Much

"It pains me to see that all of my year's work was in vain, my options gone," said one of the farmers feeding his flowers to his camel. "I've been waiting all year for this season and in preparation for the expected sales, I've spent thousands of dollars on water, seeds, and on planting and tending flowers," he said, adding: "Israel has closed all borders with Gaza. Now, Israel doesn't even want us to export flowers to Europe, nor strawberries."
