The history of a problem

by Voltaire - Oct 9, 2007

No subject, other than the mythical "Holocaust", has been more confused by propaganda than the Israeli-Palestinian problem. Therefore, in the interests of clarity and simplification follows the short history of the conflict. In the 1880's Jews in Eastern Europe/Russia conceived the idea of "returning" to Palestine. The official doctrine of Zionism, the recreated Jewish state, was developed by the Viennese journalist, Theodore Herzl. The basic idea was that Jews and non-Jews were inherently incompatible and thus, the only solution to antisemitism was for Jews to segregate themselves in a Jewish state. That was the formula laid down by Herzl in his famous 1890's book Der Judenstaat (The Jewish State).

In Eastern Europe anti-semitism was rampant because of the merciless exploitation of the peasantry by usurious Jewish moneylenders, the vast Jewish controlled sex slave trade and revolutionary communist movements starting in the 1880's, all disproportionately Jewish controlled. This brings up another point. The great theoretical dispute in the revolutionary parties was whether the Jewish communist paradise should be created in Russia or Palestine. In 1922 the Jewish-bolshevik Soviet Union banned Zionist activities, forcing Jews to choose between communism in Moscow and communism in the Promised Land.

Palestine at the beginning of Jewish colonization beginning in the late 1870's was not the empty land filled with wandering nomads which Zionist propaganda pretends. On the contrary. The land had for many centuries, ever since Roman times, been agricultural, with the Arab fellaheen tilling the soil growing barley, corn, wheat and cotton. Olive oil was harvested on every hillside in the land. The Nashashibi vineyards and the orange groves of Jaffa had been world famous for centuries. In the 15th and 16th centuries the French regularly imported vast quantities of Palestinian wheat when food shortages threatened in southern France.

The Jewish colonies in Palestine began in earnest following the assassination of Czar Alexander Two by a pack of Jews led by the Jewess, Hessia Helfman. The Russians implemented the May Day laws, essentially a precursor of the German Nuremberg laws, designed to put an end to Jewish radicalism by confining the Jews to a vast area within western Russia called the Pale of Settlement. The Jews going to Palestine to escape the Czarist policies were straight reds at worst and extreme pinkos at best. The initial Jewish colonies were failures and had to be subsidized by Lord Edmund Rothschild to avoid collapse. Several of the American consuls in Jerusalem, such as Selah Merril and Reverend Glazebrook, made very unflattering reports on these Jewish colonies and essentially called the Jews followers of Lenin and bolshevik scum. By the time the First World War rolled around there were about 600,000 Arabs in Palestine and 90,000 Jews, most of them recent arrivals. In other words, 90% Arab, 10% Jew.

Prior to the First World War there was no country called Palestine (or Israel). Palestine was part of the Ottoman Turkish empire and was subdivided, along with Lebanon to thr north, among several Ottoman Vilayets, Sanjaks and Mustafarliks. The Ottoman Turks were the allies of the Germans in the First World War of 1914-1918. They were opposed by the British, French and Czarist Russians. The British enlisted the help of the Arabs, who were then the subjects of the Turks, to revolt against the Ottoman empire in exchange for a unified, independent Arab state after the war. The British and their Arab allies won the war but the British welshed on their promises. Arabia was carved up into the states presently on the map.

There was much dispute after the war as to whether Palestine had been promised to the Arabs. This all arose out of the famous October, 1915 correspondence between Sherrif Hussein of Mecca who led the Arab revolt and the British High Commissioner in Egypt, Sir Henry McMahon, who negotiated the terms upon which the Arabs began the revolt. Although Palestine was nowhere mentioned by name in the correspondence the small areas excluded by the correspondence from the boundaries of the proposed Arab state because their populations were not purely Arab all lay to the north of Palestine, in the area of present day Lebanon. Thus, Palestine was in fact included in the pledge of Arab independence.

But there was a problem. Although His Majesty's Government contracted in October, 1915 to give Palestine to its centuries old Arab inhabitants in November, 1917 its Foreign Secretary, Arthur James Balfour, issued a famous declaration sponsoring a Jewish "national home" in Palestine, provided, of course, that nothing be done which might prejudice the rights of "the existing, indigeneous non-Jewish population". Thus, the promise of an eventual Jewish state (artfully camoflauged in the "national home" equation) directly contradicted the pledge to the Arabs of two years previously.

The history of the so-called Balfour Declaration of November 2, 1917 is also quite interesting. Balfour issued the declaration; he did not write it. It was written for him by Zionist Jews on both sides of the Atlantic ocean with the collaboration of various British ministers. Specifically, Felix Frankfurter, Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, Rabbi Stephen Wise, Benjamin Cohen, Richard Gotheil of Columbia University, Judge Julian Mack of Philadelphia; Chaim Weizmann, Harry Sacher, Haim Tolchowsky, Rabbi Moses Gaster, Lord Robert Cecil, Lord Alfred Milner, Leopold Amery and South African Prime Minister Jan Christian Smuts and others.

Many drafts weere written and rewritten before the final draft was prepared. It took close to a year and was drafted with infinite cunning. It appeared to protect the rights of the Arabs while in fact taking them away completely-as intended. It spoke of the civil and religious rights of the Arabs-but said nothing of their political and economic rights. It presumed to protect their country-even as it gave hundreds of thousands of Jews a legal license to enter their land and overwhelm them. The reasons for the famous declaration have been much debated. One reason is such a sensitive one that establishment historians have preferred to ignore it. David LLoyd George, the Prime Minister of England during the second half of the First World War, stated in his Memoirs of the Peace Conference on p.761 that England had "made a contract with Jewry" to get the United States into the war. Although this might appear to be contradicted by the fact that the Balfour Declaration was issued on November 2, 1917 whereas the U.S. had declared war in April, 1917 months previously, there is one fact worth considering: Woodrow Wilson had been having an affair with the famous Mrs. Peck (Mrs. Peck's Bad Boy") and was being blackmailed over some very embarrasing love letters he had written. The Zionist attorney Untermeyer bought the letters for about $40,000 (roughly $4,000,000 in today's today's terms). In return Wilson agreed to appoint the Zionist Labor-Socialist, Louis Dembitz Brandeis, to the Supreme Court. By such methods are Jew controlled puppet-politicians manipulated behind the official history books.

Balfour, the ostensible author of thr declaration once remarked to Colonel House, Wilson's alter ego, that Jews were behind communism and that one way to wean them away from communism would be to promise them a homeland in Palestine upon pain of good behavior. This same idea may be found in Winston Churchill's 1920 Illustrated Sunday Herald article "Zionism Versus Bolshevism: A Struggle For The Soul Of The Jewish People". At any rate, the Arabs were betrayed. The British were granted a mandate, or protectorate over Palestine under the aegis of the old League of Nations. As the mandatory power they reported to the Permanent Mandates Commision of the League of Nations. The British were not able to set up the mandate until the peace treaty with Turkey, the former overlord of Palestine, was signed. That was the Treaty of Sevres. (The Treaty of Lausanne had proved abortive.) On July 24, 1922 the League of Nations approved the British Mandate over Palestine. The mandate did not officially go into effect until after the French had worked ut some problems with their mandate in Lebanon; thus the official opening of the mandate was September 11, 1923.

>From the very beginning of their rule the British were plauged with problems. The Arabs, who knew what was coming, protested and rioted constantly. There were riots in 1920, 1921, 1929 and 1936-1939 (during which the country was in a state of civil war, eventually crushed by the British military). The relevant British investigations of this period are the Palin report of 1920 (unpublished), the Haycraft report of 1921, the Churchill White Paper of 1922, the Shaw report of 1929, the Passfield White Paper of 1930, Ramsey MacDonald's "Black Letter" of 1931 repudiating Passfield, the Royal Investigation of 1937 (the so-called Peel report), the agricultural report of Sir John Hope-Simpson, the White papers of 1938 and 1939 and the post Worl War Two investigations, the Morrison O'Grady report, the Anglo-American Joint Commission of Inquiry of 1946, the United Nations Special Committe on Palestine (UNSCOP) report amd the U.N. Partition of Palestine resolution of November, 1947.

The White paper of 1939 marked the decisive change in British policy. Henceforth, the British would no longer support a Jewish state in Palestine. Jewish immigration would be cut off after five more years unless the Arabs agreed. The Zionists decided that only U.S. support would get them their state after the Second World War. Accordingly, a gigantic Zionist pressure/ propaganda apparat was set up in the U.S. After the war every effort was made to get 100,000 Jewish "survivors" of a very debatable extermination program admitted into Palestine immediately. With the British preparing to withdraw from Palestine a tremendous campaign was launched to "persuade" the United Nations into partitioning Palestine. Innumerable small little countries, like the Phillipines, were coerced into voting for partition through threatened withdrawals of U.S. loans. U.S. President Harry Truman had his arm twisted many times by Jewish lobbyists-as he later candidly confessed in less than delicate language in his diary entries.

To speed up the process of British withdrawal the Zionist underground in Palestine launched a gigantic terror campaign.Dozens of British officials and civilians were assassinated by the "Fighters For The Freedom Of Israel" (the Lehi, the Stern gang, the Haganah and others). Lord Walter Moyne, the British High Commissioner in Egypt and a personal friend of Winston Churchill, was assassinated in Cairo in 1944. Count Folke Bernadotte, the United Nations mediator in the 1948 war, was assassinated by the future Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Shamir. The southwest wing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem which housed the Britsh Mandatory Administration, was blown off on July 22, 1946 killing over ninety people. This was done by another future prime minister of Israel, Menachem Begin. A gigantic escape from Acre prison was staged on or about May, 1947. This operation, which freed dozens of Jewish terrorists scheduled to hang for their crimes would have embarrased"Homeland Security". Then there was the famous hanging of the two British sargeants, Mervyn Pace and Clifford Martin, with their bodies booby trapped to blow up the the rescue squads which cut their bodies down. None of this even touches the innumerable incidents where agents of the Jewish terror underground, camoflauged as Arabs, would toss bombs into crowds of Arab civilians, killing and maiming dozens.

This terror campaign was not carried on exclusively by the Jews of Palestine, of course. Many Jews in the United States assisted in this terror campaign. Thus, Jews in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and Florida shipped large quantities of armaments and munitions, in violation of both American export laws and the laws of the British mandate, to Palestine to kill Englishmen. The Los Angeles Jewish mobster, Mickey Cohen, was one such. The Hollywood Jewish screen writer, Ben Hecht, wrote a famous letter to the New York Herald Tribune in 1947 in which he bragged that "every time the Jews of Palestine blow up a British train or assassinate a British official the Jews of America make a little holiday in their hearts". Needless to say, Homeland Security of the day did not investigate Ben Hecht as a "security threat".

The Zionists in Palestine were not above trying to assassinate English officials in London either. They sent quite a few letter and nail bombs to anti-Zionist English officials, members of Parliament and even Scotland Yard in an effort to murder them. English police officials of the Palestine Police Force who had retired to England were tracked down and targeted by Zionist assassins in England itself. At one point there was even a plan to blow up both houses of Parliament while they were in session before saner heads in the Jewish Agency cancelled it.

After the expulsions of the Palestinians in the 1948 war the terror continued. The Jewish secret service planted three consecutive bomb explosions in downtown Baghdad to terrorize 125,000 Iraqi Jews to move to the newly created state of Israel. They were impressed to work on the farms vacated by the Arabs when they fled in 1948. In the 1950's the government of David Ben Gurion conceived the idea of bombing the library of the U.S. Information Service in Cairo. The idea was to blame the fire on the Arabs thereby poisoning U.S. Arab relations. Although the terrorists succeeded in burning the library, they got caught. When released to Israel around 1969-1970, they were welcomed as heros. In 1967 the Israelis once again conceived the same idea. They deliberately attacked the U.S. intelligence ship Liberty intending to sink it and blame the attack on the Arabs, thereby provoking an all out Middle East war on Israel's behalf. They failed to sink the ship but succeeded in killing thirty plus sailors and wounding one hundred seventy plus. Whether the attacks on the two World Trade Centers were deliberately orchestrated by a joint American-Israeli conspiracy as many believe, or not, it is a fact that Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz and the rest of the fanatical Zionists behind the war in Iraq are less interested in fighting "terror" and "weapons of mass destruction" than they are in fighting Israel's war of imperial expansion using American blood.

Few, if any, of the documented facts reviewed in this essay are known to the throngs of the God fearing who imagine that the Jewish-bolshevik state of Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. But for those who make the "Holy Bible" the measure of all things this observation is worth making. The famous "return" of the Jews to Palestine was accomplished under the Persian king Cyrus who brought them back from Babylon. No second "return" was ever prophecied-or promised.

The saga of the Jewish state is not yet ended. Jews during the heyday of Christian civilization were excluded from equal civil and political rights on the grounds that they were aliens who rejected Christ -and whose real allegiance was to a Jewish state which they wished to recreate-and not to the land of their residence. This Christian tradition of many centuries standing has been forgotten by Zionist prostituted whores like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and dozens of others. Christians no longer worship Christ, if indeed most of them ever did, and instead worship the high priest Caiaphas-or his present day incarnation, the incumbent Israeli Prime Minister.
